Glencliff, NH
This is it. I’m at the dessert of the Trail, the icing on the cake. Coming up: the White Mountains, providing countless views costing only hours of trudging up and down 1000s of feet elevation changes. 100 miles from here is Maine, the final state.
I’ve decided to slow down–no more 25+ mile days. I’m gonna enjoy the home stretch of the Trail, as I’ve heard so much about these last 300 miles being absolutely magical.

Dear Jon,
Why are you the Walrus? If so you could chew those GSs up like chewing gum. GrDi

Ku Ku Kachoo! I’ve been wondering why you’re rushing to the end. I’m glad to read you’re slowing down to smell the roses, or whatever flowers they have along the trail in NH and Maine.

Last I checked you were in Virginia. Are you setting a new trail blazing record! I have got a research assitantship for you studying stream morphology and hydraulics in the Nashville Basin if you are interested. Either way give me a call when you get back. Happy trekking.
