Who?

After a horrible first semester roommate in college, I was randomly placed with Matt Birdsell (aka “Bird”). We lived well together, and my junior and senior years were spent living with Bird and Cody Zurhellen on 50 Kenway.  Bird’s a TTU alumnus with a degree in Chemistry. David Atchly Feasel Worth recently graduated from ETSU with a degree in Parks and Recreation.  Dave was there when I was introduced to backpacking–we had the Backpacking I class together.  We connected while realizing that our teacher was a little loopy (although she did complete an A.T. thru-hike) and that life wasn’t exactly what we thought.

 We’re starting together, but it’s uncertain, and perhaps unlikely, that we’ll finish together. After a week’s trip together last Spring Break, I think we all needed a little distance from each other. Actually, a hot tub and some pizza cured that…

 My mom is also involved–she’s my point person. She will be sending me maildrops with goodies and needed supplies along the way.  If you have something you’d like to send to me (keep it light and usable, please ) and can’t get in touch with me, send it to my mom:
